I started this composition after I completed "The House on the Hill". I loved the look of the old house. The solitary feel of the old house with the wrap around porch as focal point. Adding the bird in the foreground I hoped to give the scene a more dimensional feel. The bird in the early morning to greet the day captures the essence of a peaceful morning, where the bird's presence and anticipation contribute to a sense of anticipation and quietude.
